Talking to her recently, she shared her vision of wanting trans people visible. "The more we are visible the more people here in South Africa will know we exist. This could end the stereotypes that people have on gays and trans people. Sometimes people do not even know the difference between the two groups in the LGBTI community," she said.

Yaya who is the founder of the Mzansi Pride wanted a necklace with trans colours to wear to some of the high end functions she sometimes attend. Later this months she will hosting the fourth annual Mzansi Pride to be held at Newtown Precinct Park opposite Bassline.
